Commis waiter

Working in our service team headed up by Rob Rose, Master of Culinary Arts, you will be preparing the restaurant for service, organising the kitchen area and assisting in the smooth running of the service on a daily basis. As an integral part of the Core family your duties will be varied and there are plenty of opportunities to learn and grow. We are a close-knit team and try to promote from within, meaning there are always promotion opportunities for loyal team members. Core is an iconic three Michelin-stared restaurant, famed for its exceptional service with extremely high ratings across the board. We are currently looking for an exceptional candidate to join our established and loyal team.

Sommelier

Working in our wine team headed up by Gareth Ferreira, Master Sommelier, you will advising guests and serving wines and beverages from our extensive list of approximately 1000 references. Passion and knowledge for wine is a must as you will be an integral part of our established service team delivering a world class wine programme in this iconic three Michelin-starred restaurant. Wine at Core plays a huge part in our guest experience and is a busy and exciting department with a constantly evolving list. We pride ourselves on having an extremely talented wine team and are currently looking for an exceptional candidate to join and grow with us.

The ideal Sommelier will have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a fine dining restaurant in a luxury establishment or within a Michelin starred restaurant
  • Previous customer experience and ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Good knowledge of world wines
  • Comfortable with high profile guest and wine connoisseurs
  • Must hold WSET level 3, Court of master of Sommeliers certified or equivalent
  • Excellent command of the English language, a second language would be an advantage

Bartender

We are looking for a talented Bartender who has a passion for drinks and for delivering an exceptional guest experience.

Attention to detail will be crucial to ensure consistency and provide the highest levels of service to all guests at all times. Responsibilities will include support the team with all aspects of the service in the restaurant.

The ideal Bartender will have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a fine dining restaurant in a luxury establishment or within a Michelin starred restaurant
  • Previous customer experience and ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Good knowledge of spirits
  • Comfortable with high profile guest and wine/drink connoisseurs
  • Excellent command of the English language, a second language would be an advantage

Chefs de Partie and Junior Chefs

We are looking for talented chefs to join our team who have a passion for delivering an exceptional guest experience and a desire to learn and grow within our team.

As a member of the kitchen team, you will be expected to provide the highest levels of service to all guests at all times as well as to support the chefs within the kitchen to ensure seamless service at all times.

The ideal candidate will have:

Receptionist

We are looking for an experienced and talented Receptionist who has a passion for delivering an exceptional guest experience.

As a Receptionist, you will be expected to have an understanding of what is required to provide excellent customer service. Attention to detail will be crucial to ensure consistency and provide the highest levels of service to all guests at all times. Responsibilities will include greeting guests, managing the cloakroom, dealing with emails and reservations and answering the telephone.

The ideal Receptionist will have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a fine dining restaurant in a luxury establishment or within a Michelin-starred restaurant
  • Excellent command of the English language, a second language, would be an advantage.
  • A warm and friendly, hospitable manner

Reservations Agent

You will join a talented and loyal team of one of the most awarded restaurants in the world who are dynamic and experienced in delivering the highest standards.

We are looking for a talented Reservationist who has a passion for delivering exceptional work and a desire to learn and grow within our team.

You will assist with managing all phone and email restaurant bookings and enquiries. An excellent telephone manner is absolutely essential.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferable, along with an understanding of the Open Table reservation system and Microsoft Office
  • To effectively manage reservations, maximise covers of the restaurant during service
  • Welcoming, friendly and engaging personality
  • The ability to work under pressure with excellent attention to detail and communication skills
  • To be able to juggle face-to-face, telephone and email enquiries in a polite and professional manner
  • Strong command of the English language and excellent written skills
